Mother's Day Special - Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask & Kinohimitsu Bird's Nest Drink

Welcome May, welcome to my heart ❤ May is not only my birthday month but it's also the month where we celebrate and appreciate the sacrifices and love of our mother. This is the month where people usually pamper and treat their mothers more than usual. We had a family dinner last Sunday where we celebrated my brothers' beloved birthday, my birthday in advance and also Mother's Day! since it's the first Sunday of May. But I wanted to do something more of her as she seem tense lately, so I threw her a facial party! ❤ *Warning; long post!*

My Umi is a facial fanatic but she usually prefers wearing mask after sauna (we have a sauna room at home) but since she's busy sewing curtains, it was an exception. I let her relax with Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask to refresh her energy. This sheet mask in particular is made to hydrate irritated and dehydrated skin. I can't describe the taste but to me it's not sweet nor sour nor bitter LOL. But it's actually not bad once you've tried one. I got really fascinated by the drink. You can see what's inside and what you're about to drink. You have to shake well before drinking and once opened, you gotta drink immediately; chilled or warmed. 

After 25 minutes, it's time to remove our masks. With the balance essence on the mask, Umi rubbed it all over her body. Nope, she doesn't like to waste things haha. I usually just rub it all over my neck. The skin seriously feel soft and supple. It really does hydrate the skin. My skin was loving it till the next morning. Nothing but love for the mask tho! Glad Umi enjoyed our session together. Nothing beats her love.

Blackheads and whiteheads are my worst enemy. Since I quit facial, it has been pretty hard to handle them. They very nakal you know. Especially when you do not have the proper tools and products to get rid of them. Off with those heads:

First of all, the smell is a major turn off. Smells like a minty-cough syrup. But it does not linger, thank God! I have not tried it for a full 14 days yet but I can see some improvements. I only apply it around my T-Zone and my nose cam a bit smooth and blur-out sikit. I have major blackheads right now and Alhamdulillah, it does not appear too much under makeup now. 

Deep Impact:

My very particular when it comes to scrub-like products but I'm glad this one does not harm it as it did not irritate or feel harsh on my skin at all. It is kind of fun scrubbing my face till the beads fully dissolve in. It also brightens my skin sikit and it makes my pores blurry by just a tad. 

Absolute matte:

OMG ITS BLACK! HAHAHAHA. Did not see that one coming tho. But then I remembered that it uses charcoal sheet to tarik all the junks then I am like, 'Riiiiiight" LOL. Loved the minty scent and cooling sensation. It made me feel refreshed. Always loved that on masks. And it worked like magic I must say in terms of shine control. Used it before putting on makeup and my nose stayed dry and only a little bit oily late in the evening. But because I am only oily on the T-Zone and rest of my face is dry, it made my other areas a bit drier. So take note those with dry-combo skin. But overall, not bad!

First up, you gotta start with the cleanser! Babeskin Whitening Soap gently cleanses your skin and whiten and lighten it up using natural skin-friendly ingredients. Suitable for all skin types, this soap does not only revitalizes your skin, but it moisturizers, exfoliates, remove you dead skin cells and reduces blemishes as well as dark spots. Above is the result from 1 week of usage. My skin got smoother and slightly brighter. You can see the scars got smoother too and some faded away. It makes my skin feeling oh so great and seriously, it reduces my acne a bit. 

Whitening Soap Premium: I'm not actually a fan of any soap bar to be honest but I'm indeed willing to give this one a chance and actually finish the whole bar. I love how it's not rough at all to my sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate me or whatsoever. But don't ever let it get to your eyes cause it made my eyes itches like a lot and sometimes for days every time it did lol. It smells good and it doesn't dry out my skin. Loving it so far! 

Double Serum Premium: I love how these serums make my skin feels. Serum 1 absorbs fast into the skin that you need to work fast with it. Serum 2 is a bit more watery and it spreads widely on your skin so you don't need much with it hence, saving a lot. I kinda wish Serum 1 was also like that 'cause that's my favourite one and I'm already at 50%. Both serums smell great and it makes my skin smooth! 

Overall, to be honest, it's pretty rare to see me purchasing products that I got sent but the serums are so wonderful to me that I decided to include it in my personal skincare regime. Yup, it's become permanent now. Love it so much!

Hello loves! Ever heard of Klairs? ❤ I have seen many of my blogger friends raving about Klairs's products and finally, I had the opportunity to try the brand myself. On top of that awesome news, I had the opportunity to try one of their best sellers, Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream!

A multi-functional product that has a whitening effect, anti-wrinkle care and acts as a sunblock, this BB cream has been upgraded by including hyaluronic acid for moisture and sebum control powder to keep skin soft and natural all day even around the T-zone area. Did you know that Klairs have a unique smart colour system? Haa, their BB cream actually pulls out our natural skin tone while decreasing the white base and toning out our skin for that natural, healthy looking skin! Wow.

Comes in one shade fit all, this BB cream suits all natural skin tone from light to dark. It blends into the skin, corrects them redness and brightens it up and making it look a little bit dewy. Korean gitu youalls. Although it's said to replace primer and finishing powder, I stand by the fact that you do need to set it with a powder after that considering it to be a little bit sticky and lets be real, with Malaysian weather, don't ever dream to get away with just wearing foundation/bb cream. Panas deh. Nonetheless, it instantly hides them pores and redness; evens out my skin tone and did I mention that it's suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin? Score!

Results:

Seriously, the BB Cream gives a flawless foundation-like result. It has a light++ to medium++ coverage if you get what I mean LOL. I love the fact that the BB Cream comes in a pointy-tip tube. Freaking easy to squeeze everything out or just the right amount. No wastage! So far I love everything about it especially the fact that it brightens up my face about one shade lighter 'cause that's how I love my base to be - making me look lighter :p I guess the only downside is that it takes quite awhile to set. Sometimes when I can't wait, I straight away apply powder and still, my face feels sticky meaning it's not quite set yet. But other than that, love it! No wonder it's one of Klairs's best seller items!

Review: Mario Badescu Anti Acne Serum & Whitening Mask

Hello loves! ❤ Mama's back with another review and this time, it's from Mario Badescu! Mario Badescu has been my #1 favourite acne destroyer brand since ages ago. A matter of fact, way back in the earliest blogging day, I reviewed my first ever Mario Badescu product, Acne Repair Kit which you can read all about it (here).

ANTI ACNE SERUM | RM101
Starting of with the first product, as soon as I read the word 'Anti Acne' I was completely sold since its other acne products are amazing. Plus, the reviews up on Luxola website gave me a much higher hope that this will be my next 'it' product. They said it's a 'magic' serum that prevents the acne from coming and slowly reduces the amount of your acne. 

Comes in an almost transparent-yellow, the serum is said to keep them breakouts at bay with just a thin layer. It's a salicylic acid based gel that doesn't feel sticky at all or make you look greasy. However, the gel is really thick but what got me surprised at first was that the serum absorbed into the skin fast. I don't need to let it set or whatever. 

WHITENING MASK | RM120
Second item is a mask! You know I love masks ;) My skin is really sensitive and every time there's acne, the scar will stay on my face for a very long time so I thought now that I have an Anti- Acne Serum to keep the acne at bay, why not top it off with a whitening mask that could lighten up my scars, right? Uhuks. 

Not only its hydrating but it also evens out the skin tone while reducing/fading the appearance of the acne scars and sun discolouration to give fresh and youthful-looking skin. It contains no alpha hydroxy acids so it’s safe and gentle even on acne erupted or the most sensitive skin. The texture is liquidy but it dries fast. I suggest you work on smaller part of your face at a time with a thin layer of the mask.

Now the moment of truth! 

Anti-Acne Serum:
It absorbs fast into the skin that you don't need to wait for it to set and it doesn't leave any greasy-looking skin after. The texture is thick but just with a tiny drop, it spreads all over the skin so you don't need much and you'll save a lot! Now, how does it work on my skin? Well to be honest, I'm quite disappointed with it. It completely blacks out all my expectation. Instead of eliminating them acne, it actually causes more breakouts and more acne to appear. Why eh? Does it happens to you or is it just me? Cause I really want to like it :/ 

Whitening Mask:
During the first application, I didn't know that it dries fast so I applied a few drops here and there and working on one section at a time and when I tried to spread other sections, the mask already dried leaving my face with ugly dots all over HAHA. Though it could get messy since the mask is very liquidy. Now again, does it work? This time, it does! It lightens my skin bit by bit and I honestly notice a few scars disappearing. This one is definitely my fave! Been reaching out for this one more than my other masks. Love love love!

Review: SKIN & LAB Dr. Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask

Hello loves! ❤ If you have been following my blog, you would have known by now that I really love facial mask but let's be real, who doesn't, right? Facial masks are the best. It keeps me fresh, calm and at ease. I love trying out different facial masks almost every two months and honestly, I keep finding better and better facial masks every time.

SKIN & LAB Dr. Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask is the mask that I have been trying for almost two months now. I'm so in love with it that I postponed my urge to try other facial masks LOL cray cray. But it is not a surprise. It has been a favourite of many beauty bloggers around the world.

This facial mask will not only solve the causes of pores and excess sebum but will also purifies the skin in and out while minimizes the enlarged pores and firms up the sagging pore walls. The three main ingredients: Canadian Glacial Clay (3k mg), Oatmeal and Tea Tree Leaf will act together to treat against potential skin problem, goes deep into pores and eliminating surface debris as well as moisturizing. 

Apart from that, it also prevents the appearance of blackheads while leaving a cooling effect after which will give a relaxing feel. This facial mask uses the 3 Pore Care system: Clear (Pre cleansing which will eliminate excessive sebum and dead skin cells), Contract (Recovery phase which will contract existing pore and firms up the pore walls) and lastly, Care (Rejuvenating, nourishing and protecting the skin)

Results: Though it stings during the first application every single time, it provides a cooling effect that calms my skin and makes me want to just, relax. It smooths out my skin after wash, making it look super clean and moist as though I'm using the peel-off blackhead mask only better because it doesn't hurt. And did I tell you that it's also hydrating? It didn't feel dry at all. 

And the best part of it that it gradually brightens up my skin, my dark spots and doesn't interfere with my inflammation at all. There wasn't any active breakout during my usage (and even now) so I couldn't tell about the acne part but it did prevent it alright ;) The only thing I dislike is that it smells like my cat's food LOL. Nonetheless, I'm really enjoying this facial mask and grateful that I finally got to try it and will definitely repurchase. Recommend.

So here here to the first one! Brightening Scrub + Mask 

A 2 in 1 facial mask and scrub that nourishes and rejuvenate the skin while the perfectly round jojoba beads gently exfoliant the skin buffing away dullness, bumps and dead skin cells. The Brightening range was formulated specifically to enliven dull looking complexion to make it more vibrant, healthy and glowing. Using all natural and gentle ingredients for the brightening effect like bearberry, kojic acid, sake, fruit acids, licorice, vitamin c, lemon juice and strawberries instead of harsh chemical skin lighteners.

My first impression was that the beads look kind of weird LOL. It's very light and gentle that it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It smells like candy and citrus-y. The beads wasn't harsh at all, in fact, it's very mild. To use it, just apply it like a normal mask first for about 6-8 minutes. Then, wet your face and gently massage the product into skin using small circular motion to slough off dead skin. 

Purity Cleanser + Mask 

The Purity range is formulated specifically to give you a clear complexion and to protect against future breakouts. Detoxifying essential oils kill the acne causing bacteria while nourishing seaweeds and purifying herbs protect against future breakouts. Acnegenic skin is raw and sensitive and needs skincare that is non pore clogging, gentle and effective. This deeply detoxifying yet, gentle facial cleanser will wash away makeup and impurities while leaving your complexion fresh and purified. 

A cleanser with the same concept as an oil-based makeup remover except you leave it on for a few minutes instead of massaging your face to break off the makeup. But afterwards, the same concept will apply. You will have to wet your hands and gently massage your face till the mask becomes like a milky texture and there you have it, your cleanser! 

Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

A concentrated eye cream with potent anti-aging vitamins, antioxidants, and nourishing rosehip oil made with 100% pure, natural ingredients. This anti-inflammatory, caffeine rich green tea and coffee de-puffs eye cream reduces swelling while increasing circulation to alleviate and brighten dark circles in 4 weeks but of course, results may vary from person to person. I actually noticed the results way faster than that which amazes me so much since any eye cream and I don't really work well together.

Brightening Mask + Scrub 118ml | RM99 
I used it once a week until it's all gone. The scent was really divine. The scrub wasn't that harsh, like I said, it's very mild but it got the job done. I didn't feel any irritation at all which was such a plus point otherwise it will take me a week to recover + it's made from natural ingredients. My skin felt soft after every usage. I just love it. Though it doesn't give an instant brightening effect, I did notice it during the third time around.   

Purify Facial Cleanser + Mask (Acne Care) 118ml | RM99 
First, let me just say that it smelt so good! It had a minty/cooling effect which gave me some sort of relaxing and soothing feel. I love the mud to milky-texture cleanser sort of way. It did leave my skin feeling fresh and purified and not to mention soft and smooth! Unfortunately, I didn't have any active breakout during my usage but it could also mean that the product really helped to prevent it. And also, it reduced the redness on my face.

Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream 15ml (RM60) | 30ml (RM90) 
One of the best eye cream I've ever tried, honestly. As mentioned, I have trouble with most eye creams because of my sensitiveness. But this eye cream is so gentle and it doesn't sting at all. Right away after the first night, I noticed that my undereyes were brighter. After continious usage, my puffiness was slowly reduced considering my sleeping pattern is messed up, still, and the dark circles were getting brighter and brighter. It smoothens my fine lines too!
