Review: Urban Decay Vice 3

Yay, eyeshadow palette! One of the things that I enjoy collecting. I don't usually follow the trend and collect every single palettes out there but I do love to collect the ones that I think worthy to be apart of my collection. Anyway, hello loves! ❤ Urban Decay is my favourite brand of eyeshadow as their eyeshadows are the bomb, pigmented, velvety and just drop dead gorgeous! The complete package! So much love

Last year when the Vice 2 came out, I didn't have the desire to buy it as the colours were not my cup of tea and I don't see myself using it at all. I'm more of a neutral/earthy tone girl and most of the time, I would stay away from colours. But after seeing the Vice 3, there was something about it that made me wanted to "dip" in the colour world. And thanks to my guy for letting me dip in that world by treating me this :)

This Limited Edition Vice 3 palette that I accidentally dropped and ruined some of the shades comes with 20 gorgeous, rich, velvety and exclusive shades. It is one of the ideal palettes for neutral lovers that wanted to start playing with colours but afraid as the colours are soft, easy to work with and not "in yo face" bright. And it can be worn everyday too. The shades are arranged in columns which are mattes, cool shades, rich shades, reds, and neutrals according to JenLike most of UD palettes, Vice 3 comes with a dual-ended brush. Loving the shader but not so much on the blending/crease brush.

So what do you think? Pretty kan! I personally love the second last combo. It's sweet and romantic. Obsessed!

The shades are beautiful, rich , indeed velvety and easy to wear. It looks beautiful on me even the reds. The packaging is funky and am digging the big mirror. The brush is OK, I'm just loving the shader part. HOWEVEEEEEEEER, the only thing I don't like about the palette is that the matte ones are a bit powdery. I dip in my brush and the shadow just go everywhere and less on the brush itself.

This palette gives me the opportunity to experiment and explore with colours and at the same time, preparing me to be confident and comfortable to start playing with richer, brighter and bolder colours. If you are looking for some kind of "starter" palette for you to try and play with colours then maybe give this palette a try. Swatch it at your nearest Sephora and see for yourself.

TAG: Four or More!

Hello loves!  Today I wanna do a tag post that I find very interesting and feel like doing it ASAP LOL. It's actually a video tag by Emily (Emilynoel83) from YouTube. She's amazing and stunning ugh love her! So this tag is about showing/sharing your makeup products that you have either four or more of it. You can watch the video which I will link it down below at the bottom to get more info of what this tag is all about hehe.

Essense Long Lasting Eye Pencil in 01 Black Fever
If you follow me on Instagram then you'd know that I've been wanting this since forever but its always out of stock so as
soon as I saw it on the shelf, I quickly grabbed it all like its nobody's business. I don't care. LOL! Love this pencil
but not quite love the formulation. Its harsh and doesn't glide so smoothly.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
I'm not a mascara girl, I'll give you that. I don't go out buying mascaras like its nobody's business lol no. I usually just use one until
its all dried up / used up. But there was a buy 1 free 1 sale going on at SaSa a while back and you know, I just gotta plus I love The Falsies!

Maybelline Color Tattoo
Again, only purchased this because of the buy 1 free 1 sale LOL never buy full price guys! But I'm grateful that I bought these
because its ah-mah-zing! Wish there's more colours here in Malaysia just like in the US but oh well. A must have for makeup junkies!

Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow Square Refill
Minus the pink shade, the rest are my absolute fav copper bronze eyeshadow combo paired with a blue eyeliner
ugh so pretty! I did a review on it which you guys can read it (here).

Elianto Eyeshadow
Back when I was starting out in this makeup field, I only use these. Still though. For a cheap price, Elianto has some
really pretty and pigmented shadows I must say. The pink one was the very first eyeshadow I bought :) hihi.

Inglot Freedom System Round Lipstick Refill
Got these refills during their first ever warehouse sale (here). Unfortunately, I only managed to get five. I want more
but I came to the warehouse on the second day. A lot of lipstick shades orang lain dah kebas.

Maybelline Lip Polish
This is actually something that I'm most proud of. Before this, I'm not at all a fan of any lip gloss but after I tried these, I'm in love.
Plus, the packaging is super cute and eye catching. Sorry the picture is a bit off, but my favourite one is the red one.

Revlon Lip Stain & Matte Balm
Come on, who doesn't love Revlon's colour stick am I right? The best and affordable! You can see how much I love the lip
stain ones till there's no more label already LOL the matte ones are relatively new and I'm going to review it soon! ;)

NYX Xtreme Shine Lip Cream
The colours are absolutely gorgeous but the products are not... So sad that these are
not as good as the SMLC ones. Gonna review it and tell you guys why in details!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
Aaaaaaaaaa so happy that I finally got my hands on Addis Ababa! Was in luck to find it restocked at Sephora Sunway branch.
Managed to grab Milan and Antwerp as well! From left: Addis Ababa, Amsterdam, San Paolo, Antwerp, Milan, Istanbul.

MAC Lipstick
Probably the third thing I'm most proud of in the lip product topic of course. The second one is the SMLCs. Though these lipsticks are
a bit pricey, for the quality that you're getting, I would say its worth it. My most favourite one is the first from left, All Fired Up (Matte).
Love the colour! My first very MAC lipstick is the third from right, Milan Mode (Lustre). From left: All Fired Up (Matte), Lickable
(Cremesheen), Flat Out Fabulous ( Retro Matte), Candy Yum Yum (Matte), Milan Mode (Lustre), Chic (Frost), Meltdown (Frost).

And that concludes my Four or More Tag! What do you guys think? Too much? Hehe.
Now, ready to be tagged?! As usual,
I TAG ALL OF YOU! WHO THINK THEY HAVE FOUR OR MORE MAKEUP PRODUCTS IN THEIR COLLECTION!
Show me your collection bebeh! I would love to see it :)

February 2014 Favourites!

Hello loves! ❤ Weee, its the time of the month again, another favourites! hihi.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette | RM188
Surprise surprise! Lol. I just did a review on it (here) and also mentioned it in my January faves (here) hihi its just so awesome
that I think I NEED to include it in my February faves. Its just my ultimate favourite palette at the moment

Revlon Colorstay Foundation | RM60
One of my fav full coverage and heat proof foundation ever! I stopped using it for some reason and earlier last month I rediscovered
it as it was hidden somewhere in my drawer and now I'm in love with it again. It gives such a flawless look!

Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Loose Powder | RM N/A
Bought it when I was in London so I don't know how much it cost here. I'm almost out of my fav setting powder ever (here) so
I'm trying to try different ones to save up that one and this Bobbi Brown one works just as good. Its not waterproof but
it sets my foundation just like how I wanted hihi but I don't really like the scent though.

Maybelline Lip Polish By Color Sensational | RM32.90
I'm obsessed with these I'm not going to lie. I love the formulation, I love the packaging, I think it looks simple but classy and I love the pigmentation of it. Totally worth every ringgits! I love them all but my current favs are Pop 6 and Pop 5. Read my review (here).

So whats your favourite(s) for the month of February?

Review: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Hello loves! ❤ As promised two months ago (lol, sorry!), here's my full review of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette! I got this palette as a "make up" (not make-up) present from my special someone hehehe thank you! And I was literally beyond ecstatic when I get to hold it in my arms. I had my finals that morning and he was supposed to swing by my college later in the afternoon so can you imagine my feelings when I answered the paper? It was distracting but I did well hihi. I have used this palette ever since I got it and truthfully, I have been neglecting my other palettes just because Naked 3 rocks more than the rest. It even beats the Naked 1 which I did a full review (here).

This palette consists of 12 highly pigmented amaze balls shadows:
Strange: A beautiful matte pale pink highlight colour.
Dust: Very shimmery pale metallic pink with micro-glitter, dap this on the center of your lids for an instant pop!
Burnout: Satin light peachy-pink.
Limit: Matte light dusty rose, my favourite base colour!
Buzz: Shimmery metallic rose with micro-glitter. Beautiful!
Trick: Shimmery metallic pink-copper with micro-glitter. Also beautiful!
Nooner: Matte medium taupe, my favourite crease colour.
Liar: Satin mauve.
Factory: Satin pinky-brown, love using this to deepen up my crease colour
Mugshot: Satin taupe.
Darkside: Satin taupe-mauve.
Blackheart: Matte smokey black with copper glitter.

It comes with a dual ended pretty nice quality brush.

Likes: Everything! Lol, I don't know but I really really love this palette. I even mentioned it in my January faves too (here). The colours are gorgeous and it looks good on me (perasan). The rose gold undertone is not too obvious or overpowering so it can be used everyday to class or to work. It looks good on every skin tone too!

Dislikes: Darkside's a bit chalky.

Overall: I'm just grateful and blessed that I got it in my arms. Although its a bit pricey but I think its worth it, well, in my opinion. Again, the colours are gorgeous and I'm totally in love!!!

Price: RM188 @ All Sephora Stores Nationwide.
They have recently stocked it up so go get one!

NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette: Yah Or Nah?

Hello loves!  Am pretty sure all of you are quite excited for this upcoming gorgeous palette by NARS which is their NARSissist Eye Shadow Palette that is going to hit our city in April. Word on the street is that it might just beat the (sort of) newly launched Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Well for starters, this palette has three shadows more (15 shades all together) than all of the Naked Palettes and it is sort of a combination of all three palettes too if you really look at it.

But I'm not going to lie, this palette IS gorgeous! The colours are beautiful and I'm starting to love the first colour on the first row of your left side. It looks like a gorgeous shimmery light pink/champagne colour ugh I just want to lick it! LOL. But mind you that I don't have this palette as it has not reached Malaysia yet. All the pictures and swatches are from other people which I will link it all below! ^_^

Again, this palette consists of 15 shadows of their existing both duo and single shadows. Michelle from BubblyMichelle labelled the L and R to show the left and right of NARS existing duo shadows.

Now there are so many mixed reviews about this palette. Some said Yah and some said Nah. But a lot of people and beauty gurus are returning this palette back to the store. For RM260++ ($79), the quality and pigmentation of the shadows didn't live up to their expectations. Some even said that Wet N Wild has better quality than some of these shadows. I mean it is NARS so obviously you got to put your highest expectations on it and you are paying a lot for it. Now let's compare it with the Naked Palettes:

The NARSissist swatches are from lcmakeupblog and the Naked Palettes swatches are from frmheadtotoe. Sorry if it is wrong for me to compare it like this but I just want to let you guys get a clearer picture of the differences in terms of pigmentations/colour pay offs between the two brands.

For the price that you are paying for NARSissist, I would say that the Naked Palettes have greater pigmentations for much less cost, RM188 ($52). But don't get me wrong, not all shades are bad in the NARSissist. They said that the original colours in their singles and duos are much much better, pigmented and totally live up to the "NARS" name, it is just that the shadows particularly in this palette is a bit disappointing. But it is still a lovely colour nonetheless and some said that if you prime your eyes before, then you will love this palette!

Here are some videos that you can relate. They did comparison of the singles and duos and compare the colour pay offs. Some of them like it and some of them dislike it. And to tell the truth, I'm really confused right now! HAHAHA

I have two months to decide whether I'm getting this or not. I mean, come on it is NARS and it is cheaper than buying all the duos and singles in this palette. And the colours are gorgeous! There are always a pros and cons of every products from every brands and there are always going to be those who loved it and those who hated it. I mean that is the nature of it. I'm not siding on any brands, I love both brands and NARS blushes are the best! But I think (because I know myself) that I would see myself buying it anyways despite the hate reviews as again, it is NARS and as my dad always says, "better regret buying it than regret not buying it" so.

What do you guys think? Will you still be in line waiting to get your hands on it this April or nahhhhh?
Let me know! Maybe just maybe, we could wait in line together :p
p/s: Only 200 pieces will be sold this April!

Review: Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette

Hello loves! ❤ Let me tell you a little secret, I've been obsessing and been wanting this palette for a very long time. Probably two to three years long? Or probably ever since it came out. Lol. But I could never gather as much money to buy it until a few months ago. It was unplanned actually. I just happened to walk into Sephora and suddenly the urge to buy it came rushing in. Long story short, I bought it! Haha. One wish came true!

This palette consists of 12 highly pigmented, creamy, gorgeous looking neutral shadows:
Virgin:  Nude satin, I use this shade a bundle on my inner eye.
Sin:  Champagne shimmer, my favourite highlight.
Naked:  Buff matte, the best everyday all over shade.
Side Car:  Beige with glitter.
Buck:  Brown matte, the greatest crease colour for a workday.
Half Baked:  Bronze shimmer.
Smog:  Golden brown shimmer.
Dark Horse:  Dark brown shimmer.
Toasted:  Taupe shimmer.
Hustle:  Mocha shimmer. Perfect to pair with Toasted.
Creep:  Black with sparkle.
Gunmetal:  Dark grey with sparkle.

Sorry mata bengkak sebelah :s

Although it look like I haven't even touched the shadows but really, you just need a gentle swipe as it's highly pigmented. It goes on smoothly, super easy to blend and the colour payoff's great. I love shadows that I can wear everyday and this is it! The colours are very pretty and I think it will look flattering on everybody. The brush's great for dapping on shimmer shadows and I love the primer too!

It is a highly raved eyeshadow palette all over the world so obviously I will rave it too. There is nothing that I don't like about this palette. It was totally worth the money and I'm happy that I bought it. No reget! I also have the newly launched UD Naked 3 so stay tuned for that! Gotta get my hands on UD Naked 2 pula! hehe.
