Event: #Altheaturns1 Birthday Celebration!

Salam everyone!
Welcome back, Izzah After being MIA for God knows how long from attending events, I finally went to the event that I cannot miss, Althea Birthday Party! What's Althea you asked? Well, my brother asked the same thing too lol Althea's a platform that delivers fresh Korean beauty products from Korea (of course!) up to your doorsteps in just few days! Yang penting, all authentic and they always give us the best price!

It was held at Ruang, SS18 and the theme was pink! We were greeted with Korean snacks; few kinds of Kimbap (my first time trying it and it was not bad!), Bingsu Station - where we can choose any 4 flavours and top it with our preferred toppings, cool! And also various sweets and birthday cake!

The thing I love about events the most is that I get to get catch up with my blogger friends as well as meeting new friends and my internet/social media friends for the first time  The decorations of the events were so beautiful that we can actually take pictures with all sorts of background.

Not to mention, a stunning Althea-themed photobooth by Glitz & Glam Studiobooth
They'll take the photos for us and we get to keep the photos, yay!

The highlight of the event was that we get to meet the CEO in person! Meet, Althea.kr CEO, Mr. Frank Kang. The CEO with an #originalblusher cheeks (HAHA!) and who can sing opera! Daebak! And guess what? We were surprised by the 30-minutes shop time on their website worth RM150! All went panic since we only had 30 minutes to shop. And my Althea box came in yesterday! I managed to buy another Laneige BB Cushion Whitening since my mom just bought me the pore control version on her last trip to Korea and another two of the Selfie Pigments, yay!

The event ended with a Top 3 Best Dress Award and a surprise (yes, another surprise!) lucky draw from It's My, WondeRuci & Aromatica! All we had to do was grab any balloons behind the main stage and pop it! And I got the one from Aromatica (will review soon!).

Overall it was such a fun and happening party. Thanks Althea!! Looking forward to more events like this. Congrats again Althea.kr for the milestone! We will keep on supporting you as you guys are the best

Skincare regime throughout January 2015 ❤

Hello loves! ❤ Remember my my first post of 2015 where I talked about reviewing the beauty box that I got at the Butterfly Xmas Gathering (here)? Well this is the last post. You can read the last two posts here and here about other products inside the beauty box. Tbh, this is my skincare regime throughout January. Been using it since day 1 and will continue using it till it's all gone.

First thing first, got to start with the Garnier Sakura White cleanser and moisturizer! Been using it after the gathering because I was too lazy to go upstairs to clean myself lol. I was a bit scared at first to try the cleanser because of my skin sensitivity but was surprised of how gentle and non-irritating it is to my skin. After all, it's suitable for sensitive skin. Both cleanser and moisturizer together gives me an instant glow and brightness. I love using the moisturizer for day time use partly because it balances out my redness but in a subtle way.

If you ever wonder what's inside my school bag then you will find these. I transferred the Always Aloe Vera Soothing & Refreshing Mist into a smaller container so that it's easy to bring along. Since school is really hot and being a teacher means going up and down the stairs like all the time so I find it helpful and convenience to have this facial mist around. It's soothing, cooling, moisturizing and relaxing!

And don't get me started on the L'occitane hand cream! For a small size, it lasted pretty well. It's moisturizing and it smells super goooood! Oh, and it lingers! As if I don't have to wear any perfume :p Thinking of purchasing the full sized product!

Sheet masks. You know I can never get tired of it. They are just so good! Sheet masks are my favourite btw. I prefer them over other form of masks and Idk why. I have never tried any product from Nature Republic before so I was excited to try their Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask but then I decided to save it for later. Too sayang. I already have the Hydraluron Moisture Booting Mask from other event and I heard great things about it and to my surprise, the great things are real! My skin looked so much better after that. I looked and felt smooth. Even my mom said I looked good hehe.

I forgot to include the photo of Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo! I love this shampoo. Kind of wish that I had the conditioner as well. I often wash my hair every other day but lately, I find myself washing it almost everyday. Need to save some money to treat my hair to some salon action. My hair needs it so bad but until then, I'm sticking with this shampoo.

So what's your skincare regime at the moment?

2015 Simple and Sweet Makeup Look

Hello loves! ❤ Since I am a teacher now, well, a trainee to be exact, I am told by my lecturers to wear minimal makeup to school to avoid drawing too much attention to myself by the permanent teachers as I am after all, just, a trainee teacher. Simple and sweet makeup look is the way to go and for me to rock to school.

And today, I am going to show you a mini pictorial of how I do my makeup every morning now. It is very simple and sweet yet, it gives a very awaken and fresh look to my face. Not only that, I think the students will also appreciate a very fresh-looking teacher to teach them a little some some. By the way, if you want to know about my life as a trainee teacher, check out my dayre (dayre.me/izzahhahiraf) but for now, let's get on to the pictorial! P/s: The products are from the beauty box that I talked about (here).

1. Prep your lips with Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop in Pink Shock
2. Apply your favourite foundation and set it with powder (very important since school is hot!)
3. Apply neutral shadows for a very natural look.
4. Apply Dollywink eyeliner and create a quick & short wing.
5. Add a pinky flush to your cheeks for that youthful, fresh and sweet look.
6. Finish it off with Collection Hotlights Lipgloss for that extra shine.

*Note that I didn't apply any mascara because it's going to be hot and I don't want any fallout*

Will be rocking this look till April!
What do you think?

Review: Shizens Lip Tattoo

Hello loves! ❤ I love everything lips and Shizens is one of the brands that I have always wanted to try but never did. My blogger friends had tried and reviewed many products from Shizens that I have yet to try. So here it is, my very first product from Shizens that I got inside the beauty box. What beauty box? Read here. And lucky me, the first product being a lip product! First impression; what is this? Some kind of lip treatment? Lip gloss? Lip conditioner? Curious to know too? Well let's find out together!

The packaging is top notch! It looks fancy. This lip tattoo is actually some kind of lipstick + lip gloss + lip treatment-like product to make it complicated for you LOL but to sum it up, it is a kind of product that turns your lips rosy or pinkish when you apply it. It is said to provide moisture, relieves the formation of fine lines and help to lighten dark pigmented lips. Oh, and did you know that this is one of the Star products from Shizens?

It also reminds me of Lip Ice (my old time fav product that I used in Hjigh School) which is a lip balm that is also white and leaves a pinkish hue on your lips. But the Lip Tattoo doesn't make your lips look like you have dry skin hanging out on your lips if you know what I mean which you probably don't HAHA I'm so bad at explaining, never mind. The Lip Tattoo also gives you a glossy finish which I find attractive and the illusion of having natural pink lips. Appropriate for everyday use and for students to wear everyday.

Tbh, I was curious to know how long lasting the product is and since it sinks into the lips leaving it like a stain, it lasted pretty long on me. I even showered while wearing it and came out with pinkish lips LOL. I find it to be glossy and gives a more pinkish hue with a few coats.

Result: It sting-ed my lips during the first application but it was fine after that. Loving the concept and the packaging, making it looks as if I was slapping on some fancy thing on my lips. It doesn't make my lips feel dry or accentuate the fine lines. It is also buildable without overlaying each layer in a bad way but sinks into each layer naturally instead. And not to mention long lasting. But a separate lip balm would be handy as it lacks moisture in my opinion and also if you don't feel like layering another layer of the Lip Tattoo but still wants to keep that pink lips.

Price: RM168 (8ml)

How I spent the last days of 2014

Hello loves! 2014 was a great year and I had so much fun. Of course, there were some downs but I'm glad I made it through. I'm grateful that I didn't lose any friends but made even more.

My last semester for 2014 was really hard and stressful and it was unorganized so I was unable to do anything within the given time and yet, found the time to go on vacation with my friends right before my proposal's due date. Literally, during the last days. And I came back from the trip exactly the day before the due date but luckily, I finished and submitted it within the given time and straight away went celebrating with my friends that night but unfortunately, my car broke down in the middle of the road right in front of Setia City Mall. Bad day, I swear. But thankfully, it was minutes away from my house so my dad came to our rescue.

On December 19th, I went to Perlis for my friend's engagement and I was also her MUA. It was my first time flying alone even just within Malaysia so you can guess how excited I was :p Her family was so friendly and I had such a great time hanging out with them. They even brought me to Thailand. Saw a lot of beauty products that we often see on instagram but with hella cheap prices. Went back home on December 22nd. I thought I was sitting beside a friendly person but she turned out to be a marketer from this one company and kept trying to get me into it and there I thought that I could maybe sleep inside the plane but I guess not.

On December 23rd, I woke up very early and went dress hunting for the event that I went to later that night (more on that in a sec). I just went to Sincerely by Us at Alam Avenue and I found everything that I needed there and I was so happy with the clothes that I picked. Then, I went to Jusco Bukit Raja to find something for the Secret Santa and went straight home to get ready. The event that night was none other than, Butterfly Christmas Dinner Partaaay! It's an annual gathering for the butterflies to mingle and make more friends and just have fun and look back at all the memories and achievements that we have all made along the year. And in case you don't know, Butterfly Project is this awesome blogging community of awesome people with awesome vibes that I'm thankful to be apart of as they have helped me so much!

The event was held at The Apartment, Curve. I came with Jac (here) who is sweet btw. Upon arriving, we had to register ourselves first and we were given "My Name Is" stickers and a beauty box for review and then pick a seat and eat! We were served turkey that night and it was my first time trying out turkey. Yummy! I took a little bit of everything and everything was delicious. I was kind of sad that they didn't serve us the drink that they served us the last time 'cause I was obsessing over that drink for a while :p

There were some entertainments and games and even contests! Everyone gathered at the tree and sang along to "Frozen" and we played a game where we were given random names like "Happiness", "Joy", etc and had to find other group members with the same name and had to come up with cool names for the team. I got happiness and our team's name is Happy Chrysalis! Then it's time to receive our presents from our respective secret santas. Everyone was busy either hiding from the person they gave the presents to or trying to find their santas after opening their presents. I got a really lovely present which I will show in another post. And I also won best photo on instagram (the picture of me showing off the food) that got me soooo excited till I smiled with my eyes all closed HAHA oh Izzah, whyy. I had so much fun, I met new people and the games/contests were entertaining and I'm just glad that I was a part of it this year. And like I mentioned, all of us were given a beauty box which I will review very soon so hang on tight for that.

And that was pretty much how I spent the last days of 2014. From 23rd onwards I didn't do anything memorable and my special someone was on vacation and still is, so.. I spent the last day of 2014 at Sunway Pyramid shopping for a new phone (hint, apple) and that's pretty much it. 2014 was pretty average to me but it's still memorable and wonderful. And now, let's the new journey begins, Teacher Izzah!

Event: Bollywood Professional @ Muse by Watsons

Hello loves! ❤ Last month I attended the launch of a new cosmetic brand that had just reached Muse by Watsons, Sunway Pyramid. A colourful brand that I'm sure many have never heard before. But thanks to The Butterfly Project, I got to know the brand up close and personal!

Introducing Rani Birring, the founder of Bollywood Professional. Much like her brand, she's also colourful, down to earth, uber friendly and very helpful! She made sure that we understand her brand and enjoyed it which we did. Originated from New York, Bollywood Professional is the #1 brand used in the Bollywood film industry by Bollywood's professional MUAs. And now, its available to us. How wonderful!

OMG I CAIR!!!!!!

Bollywood Professional carries a variety of products including makeup, skincare and even perfume (smells divine btw!)! The products are made for every skin type, skin tone as well as age range. The whole generation can rock Bollywood Professional! High pigmented, crazy colourful and variety of choices, the products are loaded with with nourishing vitamins and caring minerals. It's kind to your skin and act as a 2 in 1 products; conceal your imperfections and repair your skin.

A mini makeover session was provided to us bloggers to experience first hand of the brand itself. Credit to The Butterfly Project for this picture of me pretending not to look at the camera while getting a Bollywood makeover by the MUA lol. Everything on my face was 100% from the brand. And the main attraction of the day was... *drumroll pls*

The Liquid Lipstick! RM92

This 12 shades Liquid Lips will not only match your every outfit, shoe and handbag but it's also as vibrant as your attire. These rich, long lasting, moisturizing, pigmented and awesome staining power liquid lips last 3x better than your normal lipsticks. The only way to fully remove it is by using an oil-based makeup remover as it's very rich. And mind you that the swatches were only with one swipe!

Now tell me, will you not go cray cray after seeing what the brand has to offer? I have gone gaga over all of their lipsticks! Just look at all those selection of colurs. Aaa, heaven! Fell free to drop by at Muse by Watsons, Sunway Pyramid to experience the brand yourself ladies. You'll love it :)
