I posted this on my Instagram a few days ago about joining L'oreal Paris #thebrushcontest

At first I was unsure on whether I should join the contest as I was never a MUA to begin with but the people from 

Lion & Lion gave me words of encouragement to boost my confidence to unleash the so called 'MUA' in me. 

They're also kind enough to provide me with the makeup kit so that I could be inspired by it. I was also offered to have my tutorial professionally film by them which I was totally shy to accept but honoured at the same time but unfortunately, my schedule's packed on that day so..

Review: Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Colour

Hello loves! ❤ You wil never know how good it is to be back blogging. I seriously thought that now I'm in hometown doing my practicum I would have so much free time + easy access to all my makeup but nooooo. Honestly, I'm always tired and sleepy and all I want to do all day is sleeping. Haih. But it is okay, less than 3 months to go :)

Anyway, if you follow me on Instagram (@izzahhahiraf_) which you should! You would know that I posted pictures of the Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks (which I adore!) that I wear to school. It is seriously long lasting and just perfect to wear to school. Want to know more? Keep on reading!

Comes with 26 gorgeous velvety shades, Wet N Wild Megalast Lip Colour is said to have better quality than some of the high-end brands. With 4-hour (seriously, more than 4!) lasting power, these babies have semi-matte and crème finish which glide on smoothly in one swipe. But not all though. Sometimes without a lip balm, a few of them feel like they have retro matte finish - hard to glide and dry. Speaking of retro matte, they are also said to be dupes of some of M.A.C colours!

The colours are rich, pigmented and made with hydrating skincare ingredients. Though they are moisturizing, I caught them sinking into my fine lines a few times. And I find that the formulations are not consistent. Some of them are soft and velvety while some are dry and matte. But because I'm used to matte finishes - that is just how I like my lipsticks to be, I have no problem with them at all. I'm also a person who is very lazy to reapply my lipstick throughout the day so I appreciate matte finishes more than others. Let see them swatches! 

You can see that the colours are pigmented and gorgeous. I have only 9 shades at the moment, with two more I just bought today (Think Pink & Just Peachy). There are not many shades here in Malaysia so I'm thinking of ordering more from the outside. I'm just obsessed with them right now. They are very long lasting even after I ate. My friends even asked me what I'm wearing on my lips LOL. My favourites at the moment are Bare It All, Smokin' Hot Pink and Rose-bud!

Likes: Like I mentioned, they are long lasting even after I ate. The colours are rich and bright. Just stunning. There are also inexpensive and dupes for M.A.C lipsticks. You know I love my M.A.Cs so I will definitely hunt for the rest of the shades. Some of them glide on smoothly while some are dry but because they are so beautiful and long lasting + I love me some mattes (like I mentioned) so I would have to make an exception :p 

Dislikes: How sometimes they sink into my lines. Like ew..? And the packaging! Yes, it's pretty to have them colours peeking through but I will always accidentally dent my lipsticks whenever I try to close them thus, creating mess all over the cap. And also, I wish that there were more colours available. Maybe all..? Hehe.

Skincare regime throughout January 2015 ❤

Hello loves! ❤ Remember my my first post of 2015 where I talked about reviewing the beauty box that I got at the Butterfly Xmas Gathering (here)? Well this is the last post. You can read the last two posts here and here about other products inside the beauty box. Tbh, this is my skincare regime throughout January. Been using it since day 1 and will continue using it till it's all gone.

First thing first, got to start with the Garnier Sakura White cleanser and moisturizer! Been using it after the gathering because I was too lazy to go upstairs to clean myself lol. I was a bit scared at first to try the cleanser because of my skin sensitivity but was surprised of how gentle and non-irritating it is to my skin. After all, it's suitable for sensitive skin. Both cleanser and moisturizer together gives me an instant glow and brightness. I love using the moisturizer for day time use partly because it balances out my redness but in a subtle way. 

If you ever wonder what's inside my school bag then you will find these. I transferred the Always Aloe Vera Soothing & Refreshing Mist into a smaller container so that it's easy to bring along. Since school is really hot and being a teacher means going up and down the stairs like all the time so I find it helpful and convenience to have this facial mist around. It's soothing, cooling, moisturizing and relaxing! 

And don't get me started on the L'occitane hand cream! For a small size, it lasted pretty well. It's moisturizing and it smells super goooood! Oh, and it lingers! As if I don't have to wear any perfume :p Thinking of purchasing the full sized product! 

Sheet masks. You know I can never get tired of it. They are just so good! Sheet masks are my favourite btw. I prefer them over other form of masks and Idk why. I have never tried any product from Nature Republic before so I was excited to try their Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask but then I decided to save it for later. Too sayang. I already have the Hydraluron Moisture Booting Mask from other event and I heard great things about it and to my surprise, the great things are real! My skin looked so much better after that. I looked and felt smooth. Even my mom said I looked good hehe. 

I forgot to include the photo of Matrix Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo! I love this shampoo. Kind of wish that I had the conditioner as well. I often wash my hair every other day but lately, I find myself washing it almost everyday. Need to save some money to treat my hair to some salon action. My hair needs it so bad but until then, I'm sticking with this shampoo.
